We accepts mailing, please fill up the form on the donate swimsuit page and indicate your country under *Which area do you stay?* Our community volunteers will reached out to you to share with you our mailing address so that you can ship those over. Do note: We do not accept undergarments/lingerie.
4. Where do these old swimsuits go?
Our aim is to benefit local community as much as possible but if requests from the mission and community groups we are co-supporting are lower than that we can supply, the balance will be donated to unprivileged families who are in need across Southeast Asia. There are people who wear these as daily clothing in a more rural area as they last longer than normal clothing and undergarment to them are often luxury than necessities.
5. How many old swimsuits have been given a second life so far?
Since the start of this initiative, we have given over a few dozens of swimsuits a second life. We are also lucky that we gotten unwanted new swimsuits which could be redistributed to families that are in need. Old swimsuits that are worn can also be repurposes and material used to make new basic swimsuits and redistribute for the families that may not be able to afford them.
6. Why are you doing this?
Collections of Swimsuits might get a fair shares of hesitant but the reasons why we wanted to do this is because in Singapore, there are community swimming pool and more affordable waterpark however a good quality swimsuits aren't exactly cheap and we thought that since people are going to throw them away anyway, why not we repurpose it? Better condition ones can be repurposes, and redistribute while those that are less than ideal conditions can be upcycle into something else. As long as we can avoid throwing it into the landfill, we will do it. We also want low-incomes families to be able to enjoy community facilities as much as we do without forking out what they can't afford as we understand, the finance can definitely be put into better use somewhere else.
